Lightning

Fri Dec 13, 2013 7:21 pm by queengoogoo

In the evening when the day is done
And no more is the light from the sun,
I look upon the stars Heaven high
And find gratefulness deep inside.
But then there are nights a storm rolls in,
And the twinkles disappear above the lightning.
The thunder accompanying the flash,
Lets me embrace the rain's splash.

Memoirs Empty Memoirs

I have been working on my mother's memoirs now for over a year and just this past summer finished my first draft of the book. At this time, it hits at about 40,000 words. That's short I realize, but I believe I can flesh that out some and bring it up to a more decent amount of words.

Mostly the story is completely true with some flare and exaggeration thrown in to make the story cohesive and meaningful.

If I would pursue publication for this work, what should the minimum word count be on it?
