In the evening when the day is done
And no more is the light from the sun,
I look upon the stars Heaven high
And find gratefulness deep inside.
But then there are nights a storm rolls in,
And the twinkles disappear above the lightning.
The thunder accompanying the flash,
Lets me embrace the rain's splash.
These strikes pealing within the darkness
Makes me feel I have been blessed.

Suggestions, Opinions?

Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to see if anyone has anything to say now that you've had a chance to use the forum a bit.
Is there anything you don't like? Something you would like to see changed? This site gives us a lot of flexbility to modify just about everything you see, so if you can't stand something, or have a suggestion on how something should look/work, let us know.

Greetings.
My name is Sarah and I am an aspiring writer from the southwestern part of the wild and wonderful mountain state that we call home.
More than anything else, I love horror---particularly that from the Victorian era---and my greatest influences are Edgar Allan Poe (obviously), H.P. Lovecraft, Stephen King, Jack Ketchum, Neil Gaiman, and Terry Pratchett. Primarily, I write horror, but I am also an avid fan of mysteries and anything psychological.
Currently, I am an AP Student with plans to pursue a career in psychology and/or writing, which has been my passion since I wrote my first story as a child. I have a profound interest in foreign languages. I have been learning German for over 3 years, and am a proud member of Latin Honorary. Most of my time is spent reading, writing, and working on foreign language. (I have plans to improve my Finnish as well; so far, I am rather fond of it.)
In the future, I hope to take as many writing opportunities as possible and work to become more proficient in the art.
I am new to this site and thank everyone who has so kindly taken the time to read this message. (:
